How do I register to paint at the festival?
Registration is open from February 22nd, 2024 – March 15th, 2024.
When can I paint?
All painting will take place in April 2024.
Where will Lagos Street Art Festival take place?
This festival is located in Lagos, Nigeria, with locations between the Lagos Mainland and Island.
How big are the painting spaces?
The space allocated per artist is approximately 250 ft – from walls to stairs, and full buildings.
What will I be painting on?
Once you have been allocated a space we will send you information with the exact size, location, image and surface.
How much does it cost?
Lagos Street Art Festival is free! It is free to register and if you’re accepted to paint, it’s still free! It is also free for visitors to experience all public art installations.
Does LSAF pay for my materials?
For muralists, we will cover all paint for your site as well as access equipment (eg. scaffolding). For other art forms – sculpture, metal work etc, we will provide a stipend to cover some material costs where required.
Does LSAF pay for my travel/accommodation?
We don’t pay for travel, but we will provide accommodation, feeding, and on-ground logistics for visiting artists for the period whilst you are painting (1- 7 days depending on wall size).
I can no longer participate, what do I do?
Please email hello@inscribeart.com, with your artist name, this is really important to allow us to reallocate the space to one of the artists on our reserve list.
What’s the airport to fly into?
Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos Nigeria.
When shall I arrive?
Once you have been accepted, we will be in touch to discuss specific details.
Can I get my profile added to the LSAF website and festival brochure?
Yes, We will need a square profile image from you uploaded once you’ve been approved. The image will be used to promote you both online and in press materials, so find a good image.
How do I order my materials?
We will be in touch with how to order materials once your space has been allocated.
Where do I collect my paint?
All paint orders will be ready for collection when you arrive.
Note: If you are interested in collaborating with other artists (your crew) then please indicate this when registering for your space. If you require that we provide supporting artists, indicate as well.
